Nairobi, Kenya, 23 May 2018, the African Union Commission (AUC), through its Department of Infrastructure & Energy and Capital Power Limited signed another GRMF Grant Contract for the Homa Hills surface study project. Capital Power was enlisted as the First Renewable Energy Company under the IBUKA accelerator program at the Nairobi Securities Exchange in July 2019.

In July 2019 Capital Power was admitted to the Nairobi Securities Exchange under the IBUKA programme. The platform has provided visibility and steered capital to set up the requisite governance and compliance structures to enable it raise capital, attract investorsand potential partners, take advantage of green bonds through the capital markets.
